UPDATE: Lumby RCMP ask for public’s help to locate a missing woman, partner reports she was abducted
Lumby RCMP asked the public to help locate a missing woman, her partner took to social media to provide more information. Tatjana Stefanski, 44, was last seen around 8:15 a.m. yesterday getting into a car with her ex-husband Vitali Steffan. They reportedly got into Steffen’s 2007 black Audi A6 with the B.C. licence plate GK188L. Stefanski’s partner, Jason Gaudreault said she was abducted when Steffen pushed her into the car at 4050 Highway 6 and headed towards Lumby. “Obviously with the talk and police presence out Mabel Lake way I’m not sure the exact location we located Tatjana’s ex’s Audi. There will be a heavy police search today so can everyone please let them do their work. Tatjana’s kids and I are hoping for the best but her ex’s mental state may not be good. So please for the safety of everyone please lay back and avoid interfering. We want Tatjana home safe, her kids and I love her so much and miss her. We need her home safe,” Gaudreault said in his post. Gaudreault said she was last seen wearing a blue jacket, grey sweatpants, and rain boots. Anyone with information is asked to call 911. RCMP were unable to confirm whether she was abducted, and reported her name was spelled “Tatiana.” "Stefanski was speaking with her ex-husband Vitali Steffen before leaving with him unexpectedly," RCMP said in its release.
