Cops plan to recommend charges after a crash near Thompson Rivers University killed a WolfPack volleyball player and injured two others. In a report to a Kamloops city council committee, RCMP said charges will be recommended. Although the report doesn't specify the McGill Road collision, it lists three fatal collisions in the final three months of 2023. One involved a motorcycle and was deemed to be rider error, while another was weather-related and involved just one vehicle. The third fatal crash was the only one that involved multiple vehicles, pointing to the Nov. 29 fatality on McGill Road.
