Here's what's moving into the old Montana's restaurant in Kamloops

Some Kamloops foodies are curious to know what is going into the building that formerly housed a Montana’s BBQ & Bar. 

The Canadian chain restaurant permanently closed the doors of its Kamloops location at 600-1055 Hillside Dr. in 2019.

The building is currently under construction and expected to open as a LOCAL Public Eatery (Kamloops), according to an Interior Health document.

While a spokesperson for the new restaurant confirmed they will be occupying the space in the future, the company is not prepared to release any details yet.

The crew at the construction site was not able to provide any details on the project.

With locations in several cities across Canada, and one in the U.S., the chain restaurant LOCAL Public Eatery boasts about quality food, drinks, atmosphere and experiences, on its website.

It also said it brings "family and friends (new and old) together over favourite things: local craft beer, wine and cocktails, elevated food that comforts the soul, sports and social games."
