Oliver building destroyed by blaze

An Oliver building was engulfed by flames today.

The Oliver Fire Department reported it responded March 6 to fire at the intersection of Station Street and Co-op Avenue. When crews arrived, the building was already fully involved, according to the fire department.

"Crews made quick action to knock the fire down. By the time crews arrived the building was a total loss," according to the fire department.

An investigation is pending at this time. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The fire department was on scene for roughly two-and-a-half hours with 17 firefighters.
