Kelowna man dies in crash on Yellowhead Highway

The Kamloops RCMP is investigating after a Kelowna man died yesterday in a crash on the Yellowhead Highway.

Police officers were called to the scene in the 6000-block of the highway after a vehicle left the roadway and crashed, ejecting the man around 6 p.m., according to the RCMP in a news release.

The Kelowna man, in his 50s, was transported to the hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead shortly after, April 3.

Kamloops RCMP Traffic Services is investigating the cause of the crash and the B.C. Coroner's Service is conducting a concurrent investigation to determine cause of death, according to the press release.

The RCMP is asking if anyone has dash cam footage, or information related to this incident, to contact the Kamloops detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2022-10761.
