Old Man Winter was late, but he made his presence known in Kamloops Monday night. Snowy and slippery roads made for perilous conditions for some, especially a semi-truck and trailer on Victoria Street West in the city. A video posted to social media shows a pickup truck using a tow strap to help an Arrow Transport truck up the hill. The brief video ends as the trucks approached the Summit Drive hairpin. Vehicles were stuck and sliding on steeper roads like Columbia Street West and First Avenue, where even some buses couldn't navigate the conditions. Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for regions across the Southern Interior on Monday, forecasting between five and 10 centimetres of snow for valley bottoms, while mountain passes could get up to 50 cm over a few days.
