Police have one man in custody for allegedly stabbing someone in a Penticton walkway earlier this week.

Penticton RCMP say a 35-year-old Penticton man was identified by the victim and arrested yesterday.

Cody Pelletier from Penticton has been charged with aggravated assault, which police said happened in the walkway near Ellis Creek, according to an RCMP press release.

The victim arrived at the Penticton Regional Hospital with a stab wound around 8 p.m. on May 3.

Police arrested Pelletier the next day without incident after his name and description were provided by the victim, according to the release.

The investigation remains ongoing.
