Pussy Riot is coming to Kelowna
The Russian feminist punk band Pussy Riot is making its debut in Kelowna.  Pussy Riot, known for its punk rock music and protest performances, will be performing at Kelowna's new music space Revelry on March 4.  The performance, which is part of the band's U.S. and Canadian Riot Days tour, is advertised as an "activist multimedia experience" for all ages. The Riot Days showcase is musical play based on the memoir of Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina. "Riot Days showcases Pussy Riot’s innovative combination of live music, theatre, and video," according to the Revelry website. The play has gained international acclaim and has received the Herald Angel Award, Lustrum Award and Total Theatre Award of Edinburgh Festivals. Tickets cost $32.34 before tax for general admission.
